Salvatore is also considered a worldwide expert in Utility of Biomarkers and New Technology innovations in Acute Diseases .Moreover He is the Chairman of Scientific commetee of the Italian Association of patients with Heart failure(AISC)and member of ACCA ESC working group of Acute Heart Failure.

GIOVANNI ANTONINI

GIOVANNI ANTONINI

Born in Rome, November 10th, 1956. Married with two children. Medical Doctor.
Since 1994 Full Professor of Molecular Biology, presently at Roma Tre University
Since 2014 President of the Interuniversity Consortium National Institute of Biostructures and Biosystems “INBB”. Author of more than 190 publications, most of them on peer reviewed scientific publications on ISI international journals , see https://orcid.org/0000-0002-2115-8961. H-index 2019 (Google Scholar): 40 and  >5’000 citations. Author of more than 15 granted international patents. The scientific interests have been mainly focused on molecular mechanisms of metabolic control in eukaryotes and prokaryotes and on natural antibacterial proteins, in their biotechnological applications and medical significance.

PAOLA ANTONINI

PAOLA ANTONINI

Dr Antonini received her M.D. from the University of Rome “La Sapienza” Magna Cum Laude, with Top Honors in all examinations. She also has a PhD in Clinical Pharmacology. Her medical training experience is completed by two years in oncology surgery. Dr Antonini has been involved in clinical research within the Pharma environment for over 25 years, in all Phases of drug development. During her long experience, Dr Antonini has covered different roles, from medical affairs to clinical research operations, from drug safety to study feasibility, all based upon a strong medical and scientific background. She has played a key role in many successful programs of drug development, capitalizing on her on-the-job experience in the design, feasibility, implementation and interpretation of clinical trials. Among Dr Antonini’ accomplishments are a substantial contribution to the clinical development of a number of products in the cardiovascular, internal medicine, metabolism, respiratory and neuroscience areas. Over the past 4 years she has been involved in vaccines’ clinical development. She authored several peer reviewed articles on studies conducted in various therapeutic area and focused on clinical trial methodology, feasibility and execution.

DAVID BRENNER

DAVID BRENNER

David Brenner is vice chancellor for Health Sciences and distinguished professor of medicine at the University of California, San Diego. In this role, he leads the School of Medicine, Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences at University of California, San Diego, and UC San Diego Health System. Dr. Brenner has oversight of more than 1200 faculty physicians, pharmacists and scientists; 7,500 staff; more than 600 medical and pharmacy students, and a health system that cares for approximately 125,000 patients annually.

A distinguished physician-scientist and leader in the field of gastroenterological research, Dr. Brenner first joined UC San Diego in 1985 as a gastroenterology fellow, later joining the School of Medicine faculty, and serving as a physician at the Veterans Affairs (VA) San Diego Healthcare System. He also served as a Pew Scholar in the Biomedical Sciences and a Clinical Investigator in the VA system. In 1993, Dr. Brenner became professor and chief of the Division of Digestive Diseases and Nutrition at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he continued to earn accolades for his patient care and research. He was ultimately recruited to UC San Diego from the Columbia University Medical Center College of Physicians and Surgeons, where from 2003 to 2007 he was Samuel Bard Professor and chair of the Department of Medicine and physician-in-chief of New York Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia.

Dr. Brenner’s professional memberships include the American Society for Clinical Investigation; the Association of American Physicians, for which he was the president, the American College of Physicians, the American Gastroenterological Association, the American Clinical and Climatological Association, and the Institute of Medicine. He is also on the board of directors of two philanthropic foundations, the AlphaOne Foundation and the Alcoholic Beverage Medical Research Foundation. Dr. Brenner has published over 370 papers and has served on several editorial boards, including being Editor-in-Chief of the journal Gastroenterology.

He earned his medical degree from the Yale University School of Medicine. After completing his residency at Yale-New Haven Medical Center, he served as a research associate in the Genetics and Biochemistry Branch of the National Institute of Arthritis, Diabetes, Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) of the National Institutes of Health (NIH).

TATIANA KISSELEVA

TATIANA KISSELEVA

Dr. Tatiana Kisseleva, a research scientist and expert in liver fibrosis, planned to be a liver surgeon before launching a career dedicated to full-time research. Since joining UC San Diego in 2007, her lab has focused on the characterization of the origin of fibrogenic myofibroblasts and identification of novel targets for anti-fibrotic therapy.
Tatiana was trained as a liver surgeon, then studied biochemistry and immunology during her graduate studies at Christian-Albrecht University. As a postdoctoral fellow at Columbia University, she studied signal transduction, and expanded her skills in transgenic mouse technologies. She has established important collaborations with the other researches, which have resulted in peer-reviewed publications on liver injury and fibrosis.   .   Her contribution to Science includes the stuides on the role of Interleukin 17 in Fibrosis and Cancer. Since July 2016 she is Associate Professor of Surgery, UCSD, La Jolla, CA.

DILIP JESTE

Dilip V. Jeste, M.D. is the Senior Associate Dean for Healthy Aging, and Distinguished Professor of Psychiatry and Neurosciences at University of California San Diego.  His areas of research include schizophrenia and positive psychiatry. He has published 14 books, 725 peer-reviewed articles and 160 book chapters. He is Past President of the American Psychiatric Association and American Association for Geriatric Psychiatry. Dr. Jeste is a member of the National Academy of Medicine, and was a member of the NIMH Advisory Council and NIH Council of Councils. He was a TEDMED speaker and is Editor-in-Chief of International Psychogeriatrics. He was listed in “The Best Doctors in America” and in the Institute of Scientific Information list of the “world’s most cited authors”.

Olle Melander is professor and chair of Internal Medicine at Lund University, Sweden, and senior consultant at Department of Internal Medicine at Skåne University Hospital. He heads a research group of 18 people and has been main tutor for 16 completed PhD projects. Melander has published 694 international original scientific publications and according to ‘Web of Science’ per February 23rd 2021, he has 45 361 citations (43 838 without self-citations); average citation per article 65,36) with an h-index = 87

MARJU ORHO-MELANDER

MARJU ORHO-MELANDER

Marju Orho-Melander is professor of genetic epidemiology at the Department of Clinical Sciences at Lund University since 2010. Her main research interest is on cardiometabolic diseases with focus in causal risk factors, gene-diet interactions and in the role of gut microbiota. Orho-Melander has published >280 papers in international peer reviewed scientific journals and these have been cited >22,000 times (h-index 66). She has received several prestigious grants including the ERC-Consolidator grant 2015-2020.

After training at the Second University of Naples and periods of clinical-scientific training at the Mario Negri and Carlo Besta Institute, Milan, since 1993 Dr Pizza works at the San Luca Civil Hospital in Vallo della Lucania (SA) and currently is Director of the Unit of Neurology-Neurophysiopathology.

He’s Lecturer at the Board of qualification in Headache Disorder, Department of Neurological Sciences of the Second University of Naples, Professor of Neurology at the Quadrennial School of Music Therapy, Eboli (SA). Teaching activity since 1995 of Neuroscience and Physical-Rehabilitation Medicine, Nursing Science Degree Course – University of Naples and Salerno, Popular University of Lifestyle Medicine and Humanitas Universe, Training course in General Medicine.

Dr Pizza is author of over 290 scientific contributions (abstracts, articles, reports) on National and International Journals, 3 monographs and 5 books. Organizer and scientific director of over 50 National and International Congresses endorsed by the Ministry of Health. He’s member of the Italian Society of Neurology, of the Society for the Study of Headaches, of the Italian National Association for Headache Research (ANIRCEF).
